About the author

My name is Asmau Dabo, I am a proud Muslimah from the northern part of Nigeria. I am 35 years old. I am very much happily married to a wonderful husband with three(3) beautiful kids (a boy and 2 girls).

I graduated from the University of Portsmouth, Uk with BSC Economics, Finance and Banking (EFB) and later pursued my MSC in Business Economics finance and Banking from the same university.

I had recently gained an online-based degree in MA Islamic studies from International Open University (formerly known as Islamic Online University (IOU) owned by Dr Bilal Philips.

I currently work as a civil servant in one of the government agencies in Nigeria. After my degree, I became in love with da'wah practices, particularly online da'wah. I intend to do it more often hence the creation of the blog “BeingMuslimah”.

I love to travel, spend time with family, eat good food and read about Islam😊

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "He who calls others to follow the Right Guidance will have a reward equal to the reward of those who follow him, without their reward being diminished in any respect on that account."

وعنه أيضًا رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ ‏"‏من دعا إلى هدى كان له منالأجر مثل أجور من تبعه لا ينقص ذلك من أجورهم شيئًا ‏(‏‏(‏رواه مسلم‏)‏‏)‏‏.
